Stress & Biofeedback

Can Biofeedback help with stress?

Stress is a natural and physical reaction to life experiences. We all have stress and in short term situations it can be beneficial to our health. The problem is life has gotten so fast and the demands so great that we are living in a state of constant fight or flight. This causes our adrenals to remain stressed by always firing.

Stress causes the body to release hormones that increase our breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure. Studies show long term or chronic stress can cause digestive issues, headaches, insomnia, muscle pain or tension, high blood pressure and weight gain, just to name a few. Over long periods of time this can lead to a disease state. Stress can also affect our emotions, leading to anxiety, brain fog, lack of motivation, irritability, and depression.

Decreasing stress in our lives is not always so easy, especially when our bodies get so fatigued. Biofeedback works with your human energy field by restoring the flow of energy in the body. The subtle electrical signals emitted during a session create a ripple effect in your body causing the body to work more effectively on a cellular level. These subtle changes help to decrease stress in the body so your organs are able to function better. Clients report dealing with stressors in their life more easily, improved mood, and more energy. Essentially, balancing your body allows it to work more efficiently. You then have the energy to start to make life changes to live your best life.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with life, not sure what to do, and just can’t get yourself out of your rut, Biofeedback may just be what your body needs to reregulate it and boost your energy.
